I have been teaching English in Japan since 2003, after earning a bachelor's degree from Osaka University of Foreign Studies and obtaining a Type 1 teaching license for high school and junior high school. Before teaching Jolly Phonics in 2016, I was a high school teacher and realized that effective English language acquisition starts with careful reading and writing instruction.

Jolly Phonics is particularly suitable for teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) to children, including those with reading and writing difficulties. Based on my experience, Jolly Phonics stands out for its effectiveness in helping children easily and enjoyably acquire phonics skills through techniques like songs, stories, actions, and practice in blending and segmenting.

In my classes, students have achieved remarkable results, such as elementary students successfully tackling high school entrance exam passages and a dyslexic student overcoming challenges to pass the Eiken exam, an important certification in Japan. Despite not being in an English-speaking environment, children acquire reading and writing skills joyfully and confidently pursue their dreams.
